Spring cleaning doesn’t have to be a big “to do”. If you are efficient and know what you are doing you can knock it out in a weekend. A lot of people overlook spring cleaning, but taking the time to do a deep clean of your apartment is a great way to make sure you get your deposit back at the end of your lease. Here are a few tips.

Baking soda and vinegar: if you have a tough stain try getting it out with baking soda and vinegar. The mix is powerful enough to get wine stains out as long as you tackle it immediately.
Fluff up a carpet: carpets can get smashed down because of furniture. So if you move things around, put an ice cube on the dented piece of carpet and let it melt. Put a towel down and iron the area until it is dry and fluffy.
Freeze gum: if you have gum or playdough stuck in your carpet, grab an ice cube and freeze it for a minute or so. Then just grab a spoon and scoop it away.
