Celebrating Halloween with your local parks and recreation program may be one of the best ways to spend the holiday. Parks and rec programs are where some of your child’s best memories are made, so why not add a few more on Halloween. The Van Nuys Recreation center will be hosting a Halloween event this Saturday, October 29th from 12pm to 4pm.<\/p>\n

The fun will include games, refreshments, face painting, a coloring contest, cooking decorating and a costume contest for the little ones. There will also be FREE candy and prizes. Sounds like a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The kids costume contest will be split into four categories and begin at 2pm and end at 3pm. Here is a quick look at the categories.<\/p>\n
