What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than with a good, old-fashioned hoedown? Well, look no further than the 3rd Annual 4th of July Family Barn Dance in Topanga, CA! Enjoy traditional fun with live music, watermelon seed spitting and pie eating contests, family games, delicious barbecue and more! The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, one of Los Angeles County’s coolest outdoor venues, will host the party. If you are feeling brave you can even join in the dancing on the main stage! ]]> If you are planning on running a few 5 or 10ks or half marathon races this summer, the first one to sign up for is the Van Nuys Father’s Day run. The event takes place in mid-June, so you do not have much time to start training. However, why not come out for some great Father’s Day fun while promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle?

This race is an open course, so other pedestrians, runners, and cyclists will also be on the running path. The run begins at 7:30 am on Father’s Day, June 19^th and is located at Woodley Park.
